Chamber Music Cervo

About

Over a hundred years after the birth of the great violinist Sándor Végh, the eleventh season of the Cervo Chamber Music Festival takes place in the beautiful town of Cervo.

As well as founding the celebrated International Chamber Music Festival of Cervo in 1964, Sándor Végh also began a chamber music seminar in 1975 in Cornwall, England. During this seminar international musicians of the highest level come together with the most promising young artists from around the world, sustaining Végh's original idea of passing on the love for chamber music to the next generation.

The Dutch cellist Karel Bredenhorst is one of those lucky few, and with his colleagues and friends from Cornwall he brings the spirit of Sándor Végh's musical heritage back to Liguria again this summer. With one concert at the lovely Santuario di Santa Croce al Calvario in Imperia and three concerts at the Oratorio di Santa Caterina in Cervo, Végh's legacy continues in the very town where he began his dream.
